![]() ![]() If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period. You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you. Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Moreover, we have found out subsequently that Half-Price Tours price was two-thirds that of the Key West Express, so I think we need to have some compensation for our hassle and inconvenience. The bus seats were more cramped than the Key West Express and there was no guide. Eventually we got on, but the driver had to leave two people behind. ![]() However, when we reached the bus we found that some people were standing outside saying that there was not enough room for everybody. He didn't seem to have a record for us but when I mentioned the phone contact and driver Louis he said it was OK. Shortly afterwards, a driver came along looking for Half-Price Tours customers (he had parked his bus round the corner). We phoned the contact again and then were told that we would be picked up by the Half-Price Tours bus with the driver Louis. By 5.40 no Key West Express bus had turned up (although another chap was waiting for the Half-Price Tours bus). When we phoned we were told that the bus would start boarding at 5.40 to leave at 5.45. We asked about the pick up arrangements for our return the next day and were given a phone contact to ask the following afternoon. While we were waiting for the tyre to be fixed, a replacement Half-Price Tours bus arrived and picked up the 24 passengers whom we had helped out. We were staying overnight in Key West so, whilst being annoying, it didn't really affect us. The day visitors were compensated by the guide extending the return time to give them the full stay of six hours. This was annoying but not anybody's fault. However, later on, a tyre burst and we were delayed two hours waiting for someone to come and fix it. On the way, we passed another bus (Half Price Tours) which had broken down and, since we had empty seats, we gave some of them a lift. ![]() However, some later customers didn't turn up so we wasted half an hour waiting for them. The tour started off well: the Key West Express bus arrived early. ![]()
